Jesica Alba was born on April 28, 1981 in Chino, California. Alba was raised in an Air Force family and moved to Biloxi, Mississippi, and Del Rio, Texas before returning to California when she was nine. She took her first acting class when she was 12 years old and signed with an agent only nine months later. She made her feature film debut in 1993 with her role as Gail in Camp Nowhere (1994).
After appearing in some independent films and in a few episodes of some television programs, she won the role of Maya in Flipper, which she played from 1995 through 1997. In 1999, she had roles in two major motion pictures: Idle Hands and Never Been Kissed. From 2000 to 2002, Alba starred in Dark Angel for which she is best known. Alba also played Invisible Woman in the Fantastic Four (2005).
