Gwen Renée Stefani was born October 3, 1969, and has risen to fame with her successful band No Doubt, as well as with a solo career and fashion line. Stefani grew up in Anaheim, California, and achieved mainstream success in 1995 with the release of her band No Doubt's album Tragic Kingdom. The album had hits with singles such as "Just a Girl", "Spiderwebs" and "Don't Speak". Stefani grabbed the attention of the public with her unique sound and funky fashion style.
In 2004, Stefani released a solo album to monumental critical and public success, entitled Love. Angel. Music. Baby. The album was a mixture of pop and dance tracks, combined with flavors of hip-hop, reggae and slow jam influences. Hits from the album included "What You Waiting For?", "Hollaback Girl", "Cool" and "Crash". Stefani also created a successful fashion line, called L.A.M.B., that showcases looks that ary from animal prints to pirate-chic to English elegance. Stefani is often seen wearing the line herself, as would make sense for any designer.
Stefani married Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale and the couple is expecting their first child. Rossdale and Stefani had not one but two weddings, one in London and one in California. While Stefani has undoubtedly had massive success as a solo artist, she does plan on going back ino the studio with her band No Doubt later in 2006 to record a new album. One thing is for sure, Stefani is always one to surprise and be original with her style, and the public is eagerly awaiting whatever Stefani has in store for us next.
