Mary-Kate and Ashley Fuller Olsen were born June 13, 1986 in Sherman Oaks, California to David and Jarnette Olsen. In 1987, at only nine months old, they began their acting career playing Michelle Tanner on the sitcom, Full House. As the show’s audience grew, the twins acquired television popularity second only to Bill Cosby.
In 1995, when Full House was cancelled, Olsen twins went on to further their movie career (which began in 1992 with Grandmother's House We Go) and begin their music career. After making two albums, five movies, and a production company called Dualstar Productions, the twins went on to start a clothing line in 2001, which debuted at Kmart. Since then, they have released their first major motion picture, A New York Minute.
